I am a senior business leader whose 20 years of experience gives me a detailed grasp of all aspects of financial services from sales and marketing of the product to target investors through risk management and regulatory compliance to the driving of efficiency and effectiveness in operation processes and the use of system resources. As the Managing Partner at Eclectica I experienced the full lifecycle of a fund business from start up, through expansion to a fully institutionalised business with over $1.3BN in AUM, then to restructure, downsize and eventual close. I have managed a variety of institutional and private investors across a range of fund products and strategies and through multiple market cycles. This extensive knowledge gives me an excellent understanding of the essential drivers of a successful business and the wherewithal to quickly identify and mitigate risks and inefficiencies. I have generated substantial cost savings and driven improvements in accuracy, clarity and performance through the adoption of new technologies, both in house and sourced through external providers. Deeply aware of the increased importance of regulatory compliance across the financial services industry, I have also built robust control frameworks and ensured appropriate measurement and reporting of multiple risks in a global, multi-asset business. I conceive and implement business strategy informed by analysis of customer demand, market competitors and global macro drivers.
