Robert Eke
Robert is a partner and solicitor who advises UK and international private equity, infrastructure, hedge fund and venture capital fund sponsors on fund formation, GP-led restructuring, co-investments and other related projects. Robert has published numerous articles and industry guides on the legal and regulatory considerations of establishing first time funds and secondary transactions, as well as assisting with the research and writing of an industry-leading book on alternative investment funds. He also authored an annual series of publications on the commercial terms of private equity and venture capital funds. Robert advises a range of institutional investors on their private fund investments, including fund of funds, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and family offices. His LP practice focuses on primary investments, co-investments and secondary transactions, including advising funds of funds on disposals at the end of a fund vehicle’s term. He has also advised LPs on matters presented to advisory boards and on GP-led disposals. Robert also advises on regulatory matters arising in connection with the management and promotion of alternative investment funds, including compliance with Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), the EU Taxonomy Regulation and the UK Sustainability Disclosure Requirements. He joined Squire Patton Boggs in April 2023 with a focus on building out its private funds offering in Europe.
