Ian Murray

Ian has spent the past 20 years in and around operations and technology within the alternative investment management industry. During this period he spent 9 years as CTO and Operations Manager at a large asset manager, a consultant at a leading financial technology firm, where he specialised in electronic trading and MiFID2 transaction cost analysis, and more recently CTO and trader at an outsourced middle office provider to the industry. He is currently Operations Director - Managed Services at a leading cyber security organisation. Ian is part of the management team running the business operations of the Managed Security Operations Centre and Incident Response activites, with clients ranging from 10 to 1,500 users. With the FCA and other regulatory bodies putting greater emphasis on operational resilience, his aim is to assist investment managers with the cyber challenges they face and enable them to mitigate the associated risk.
