Ben de la Salle is the founder of ICA Consultancy, a firm that provides information/cyber security and Data Protection consultancy services, interim and fractional resourcing and specialist security services. Before devoting his work fulltime to ICA Consultancy Ben was the Chief Information Security Officer a financial services group that included wealth management, asset management, platform and financial advice businesses. Previous to this Ben has worked for Serco, KPMG and Sun Microsystems, amongst other firms. This breadth of experience has been invaluable when building a consultancy firm, one that can quickly understand complex issues, engages well with stakeholders of all levels, delivers services seamlessly into customer environments, and ultimately understands what is achievable amongst the often-conflicting priorities within an organisation. Ben is a highly motivated and influential security professional specialising in all aspects of information protection and cyber security. Ben prides himself on being able to understand business drivers and requirements and translating them into innovative solutions to deliver business efficiencies through existing expertise. He prides himself, and his team, on: - being able to develop and foster strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers quickly by delivering on promises and having the strength to set expectations appropriately. - having the courage and breadth of vision to take the leading role, and be seen as a thought leader, with the motivation to ensure work is completed, and to a high standard. - having the ability to define and implement strategic vision that is realistic and achievable. Ben has also been engaged in a number of public speaking events, as a keynote speaker and on various panels, as well as being an active member of an advisory council of a major annual event dedicated to Information Security. With the upturn in media interest in Information Security Ben has also represented companies through industry and Information Security focused publications and has been interviewed as part of a panel on Cyber Security, aired on BBC radio.
