Leaning more towards the chef’s American upbringing rather than his European roots, this is a steak restaurant that deserves to remain one of the premiere steak restaurants in Mayfair. The wine selection helps to ensure that your clients will want to stay, and the atmosphere is more relaxed than others on the west side of Mayfair.

The regulars in here eat here once a week. This has begun to resemble a club, but a club that you can join. This is where you can expand and develop your network without that Mayfair feeling of needing to be known first, more a St James restaurant, just based in Mayfair.

5 Hertford Street

As one of London’s most secretive private members club, 5 Hertford street offers few private dining rooms for private dinners. But this is where you bring clients you want to spend time with, taking advantage of the onsite cigar shop, the cocktails, or the dazzling array of extravagantly decorated rooms. There is even Loulou’s if dinner and cocktails have left you with any energy.

An old school brasserie experience, perfect for the clientele who have followed the staff from their previous venture on the other side of Berkeley Square. A relaxed lunch with the opportunity to bring a larger group of clients and works well for a mix of clients.

Le Gavroche

Its French, it’s a Roux restaurant it is over 50 years old, it is in the list. Take your longest clients there and talk about the food.

It is hard not include the iconic building on the square, but without membership and with memberships now targeting those in Knightsbridge rather than Mayfair or St James, you are either going to place Annabel’s higher in your list or wonder why it is on the list. Once inside your clients will be immersed in an entertaining and fabulous world, which can again make for business conversations to be difficult, but if your clients have never been, they will remember you for taking them.

Nobu Old Park Lane

London’s original Nobu and still the best. The opportunity to enjoy some of the best Japanese food outside of Japan and still one of the best places in London to take a client, safe in the knowledge that they will enjoy their time and with vast array of drinks clients tend to stay a long time, and business can be done.

Novikov is one of the most confused menu’s in London, but it works, this is a venue to bring your younger clients, because what makes Novikov work is not the food it is the live entertainment from world renown DJ’s, you do not need to know who the DJs are, but you will be downloading their tracks on the way home, and so will your clients.

Pollen Street Social

If you want then you can watch your food being made in the kitchens through the large glass panels, without the usual kitchen clangs being heard. It seems to entertain some, but what it creates is an atmosphere that is busy and more conducive than most to being a dinner with business in mind, rather than a social event with clients.

The glamorous spot is well known for its fresh fish and sea food, which you may be enjoying whilst sitting next to well-known celebrities. As a smart and formal restaurant, it’s a great place to host your business dinner, whilst surrounded by those from different industries.
